I wanted to make a new avatar, but as it turned out, even in the amount of 100x100 pixels file weighs 4 times more than the site allows. Well, I will think further and look for easier options.

It looks really nice indeed especially the glow effect.
Maybe you can reduce the image size to 100x100 and try a compressor on it like:

Hopefully that will bring the file size just enough down without losing any visible quality.
