Bluey can absorb energy and convert it to size and strength. Because of this, energy weapons don't really work on him, because they'll just grow him even further. Unless that's what you're trying to do, like maybe grow him until he's squashed in a too-small area so he can be contained, but if he's already a rampaging kaiju, your fancy point defense monster laser isn't going to help you. Especially if you aim for his bellybutton...
