"What?! A hundred?! No way, Dino. I can do way more than you think!"
Grim laughed and flexed his toes into Roy's chest, prompting a flush of red and a small bout of grumbling. But, Grim reasoned, it wasn't his fault Roy had sat down on the sofa first. The chameleon knew full well Grim liked to sprawl out on it, and if that meant his feet were in Roy's lap, so be it. But he knew the chameleon liked it.
Nonetheless, as his laughter died down, he grinned and responded. "Oh, I believe you, Roy! You can do plenty! But I can do more~"
Making sure to flash his sharpened teeth, Grim raised his hands up behind his head, as if relaxing, and flared his biceps. Roy's suddenly squeaky stutters that followed left Grim laughing again, drowning out the small reptile on the other side of the couch.
"You should see your face, Roy! Priceless!"
Roy gathered his will power and stuck out his chest against Grim's foot, mouth opening in response. Grim pressed the foot down and turned his surely-scathing quip into a wheeze.
"D-dang it, fine!" Roy griped s Grim leaned back and relaxed in truth. "Let's make a bet!"
"Oh? A bet? Grim asked, cocking an eyebrow. Roy nodded.
"Yeah! If you can't do more than a hundred push-ups more than me, you gotta do whatever I say for a week!"
"A day," Grim replied, rolling his eyes.
"Fine, deal!" Roy replied, beginning to sit up. But Grim pressed his foot down once again and pinned him to the arm of the couch, prompting a tiny squeak and then sudden silence as Roy listened up.
"But if I win," Grim replied lowly, "you gotta do whatever I say for three days."
Roy stiffened. "B-but that's not f-" Grim raised his foot up and pressed his middle toe against Roy's lips, withering the protest into a squeak.
"Deal?" he asked, and Roy nodded. "Perfect!"
Swinging his legs off his usually-micro buddy, Grim stood and rolled his shoulders, peering down at the little guy already pulling himself up beside the great saurian. Grim smirked and strode forwards towards the center of the common room, ready to begin. Roy, for his part, followed like a puppy at his heels until the ceratosaurus turned. Roy nearly ran into his chest and scrambled back a step or two, but still felt like Grim was towering over him. All of a sudden he didn't feel quite so confident. Grim, however, snapped the micro out of his momentary doubt with a tap of his foot against the floor.
"Here should be good," Grim mused, and Roy nodded, dropping to all fours. Taking a deep breath, he steeled himself, and then yelped as Grim crashed down around him, falling to the floor and spinning over. Grim's toothy grin beamed down at him, the saurian's shifting about to get into position for push-ups of his own.
"H-hey!" Roy stammered. "You can't do your set on top of me! Wait your turn!"
Grim just smirked. "I'll wait here," he said. "Now turn over and get working or I'll take my turn now."
Roy squeaked and practically wriggled beneath the greater reptilian, though no part of Grim pressed down on him. Flipping over le to regain that steely sense of calm before, Roy pushed himself up and began.
"One, two, three," Grim intoned behind him as the chameleon pumped, the warm breath washing down Roy's neck. Roy tried to drown out the reverberating voice, tried to ignore the feeling of some six and a half hundred pounds hanging inches over him every time he reached the peak of his steadily flowing motion.
"Twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three..." A warm tongue dragged over the back of Roy's neck, sending his back arching and a yip tearing its way from Roy's throat. Grim chuckled, watching the frozen chameleon below him and ducked his head down to whisper in his ear.
"Sorry, Roy, just thought you might be getting salty with all that sweat~" Roy grit his teeth and fell down into another series of push-ups, now a bit more shakily.
"Y-you hush! I'm not so weak I'd sweat from just a few push-ups!
"No? Maybe it's just the heat, then. You definitely tested saltier!"
"J-just tell me what number I'm at!" Roy whined, arms feeling like lead.
"Thirty-two, thirty-three, thirty-four," Grim replied
, and paused to lick his lips again as for a moment, Roy struggled to push himself back up. "Thirty
-five," Grim continued as Roy finished in, then after a few more second of grunting and struggling, "thirty-six... Think you can get to thirty-seven, Roy?"
Roy struggled, elbows shaking as he rose and inch, fell an inch, rose two again, and paused. "I-I can... Nng!... I can m-make i-it!"
A hand brushed over Roy's back and stretched as wide as Roy's shoulders from thumb to pinky. Roy glanced over his shoulder, confused. Wasn't that cheating? And then Grim pressed down, sending Roy splaying out onto his chest beneath the saurian with a whine.
"Down, Roy, don't hurt yourself," he chuckled, though his tone was a caring one. Roy felt a blush race over his scales at the words as he struggled to rise. But, as weak as his arms were, it felt like Grim just needed the weight of his arm to hold Roy down, let alone any strength to back it up. At last Roy went still and tapped out against the ground, wheezing out a quick, "Alright, alright! Just thirty-six! You gotta get a hundred past that!"
"Just a hundred and thirty-six?" Grim asked with a smirk, thumb hooking under Roy's arm and flipping him over. Roy glared, red-faced.
"Not 'just!' That's a lot!" Roy growled like a kitten and Grim ducked down, rolling his tongue out over his roommate's face. Roy sputtered and squeaked, but Grim lifted back up with a grin.
"We'll see! Now that's one, but before we go on, there's something I wanna do."
Roy watched the saurian shift his weight onto one arm, the other hooking under his shirt. A quick tug and twist later and the shirt flopped to the ground beside the chameleon. A flick of the wrist later and it was flung far aside.
Roy whimpered, as, face to chest with the huge saurian, he realized just how badly he was gonna lose.
"Two," the saurian said again, dropping down until the two were practically touching, then back up far above the reddening reptile. And so he began to flow back and forth, up and down, arms pumping easily. In half a minute he'd passed Roy's mark with no signs of even breaking a sweat. Roy whined.
"H-how about two hundred more? Th-that sound fair?"
Grim snorted, smirking. "Yeah, definitely sounds fair. It's not what we agreed to, though."
Roy practically squirmed in place, unable to think up a proper response, any reason to call off the bet. It didn't help that one of the most distracting things in all the world was happening literally all around him. The saurian's chest crunched and flared inches over his snout; twin pillars of muscle rippled as they stretched high and bent back low on either side of him. All of Grim seemed made of steel, and yet rolled with a grace fluid enough to make a panther envious.
Roy didn't even realize his arms were rising until his fingers brushed against the powerful form. Roy snatched his hand back quickly, stammering an apology, but Grim paused.
"Eighty-four... Did I say you could feel?"
Roy gulped. "N-no, sir! I-I didn't mean to, I just, uh-"
"Couldn't resist?" Grim finished for him. Roy nodded.
"Yeah..."
"Then let me help," Grim replied with a smirk, and before Roy could finish stammering, the saurian shifted his weight onto one of his massive arms and with his free hand snatched one of Roy's wrist away from his chest. Roy squeaked, grasping at Grim's hand as it slid back into position with Roy's own tucked neatly beneath it, but the limb wouldn't budge. A moment later and Grim had caught his second hand, pressing it to the floor as well.
Grim grinned overhead and began to pump once again. Roy squirmed in place, little chest twisting about under his friend and captor, but of course, he found himself pinned in place by a weight that would have been immovable even when he hadn't been weakened. And then, all to quickly, came the inevitable.
"One-thirty-three. One-thirty-four. One-thirty-five." And there Grim paused, on the cusp of victory. Tail swishing happily behind him, he leaned in until his grinning snout was inches from Roy's own.
"Hey, Grim, h-how about we call it a draw, huh? Hehe, doesn't that sound-"
Grim's jaws flashed open and Roy found the last of his words swallowed into the abyss of Grim's throat. The saurian hunkered down, jaws working down over the suddenly thrashing chameleon's chest and shoulders. Gently biting down, he pulled back and tugged Roy free of the pin with fluid grace and swallowed again.
Roy's feet scrambled over Grim's knees and waist and then his stomach as the great predator's powerful jaws and throat folded him in half, his upper body bulging out the saurian's throat. Down and down Roy went, head and shoulders slipping into the enormous chest and down into the gut below until Grim began to suck Roy's tail between his scaled lips. And with a great yawn and push to send him back up, Grim swallowed the last of his friend down, packing him down tight within him.
"One hundred and thirty six! How much you wanna bet I can get another hundred in, even with you in there? A week? A month, maybe?"
Grim laughed and clenched his stomach over its squirming contents as he ducked back down and continued on with his workout, the chameleon's muffled reply lost to a belch a moment later.
