Fun fact: Red pandas once ranged over most of Europe, Asia and western North America. These two are american species.

Bix (male) is the most recent american red panda species, which was essentially identical to modern red pandas, just a bit larger. The female I made on a whim since I wanted to illustrate simocyon, a bigger, more primitive red panda ancestor the size of a cougar. Though it kind of looses its uniqueness when stylized like this. Why must all the awesome animals die out. *shakes fist*
