Anyway! About time I got some art of these two doing what they -actually- mostly do. Which -isn't- vorish shenanigans. At least, it isn't always that. (though, life on the seas can get boring, and that's how shenanigans and eating people alive happens, but still)

Nah, what Marianne and Jane really do with themselves, besides pirating, is treasure hunting! In their world, there's ruins everywhere, surrounded by long stretches of ocean, far beyond what most merchant ships would care to explore. Explorers go out in search of fame and fortune all the time, but these two are a little more concerned with the mysteries of the world and ancient knowledge/magic and stuff! Or at least, Jane is, Marianne's a little more distracted by how shiny and fanciful stuff is, sometimes. Either way, it's not something for everybody! There's often perils and traps and other hungry beasties and all that. But so long as they can watch each other's backs, I think they'll be fine. Might even discover the Truth Of The Universe or something like that. But they'll probably just find lots of shiny treasures and rare artifacts to pawn off in dingy old pirate taverns. :3
