They were fighting an exhibition match of sorts, for entertainment, money, and pride I suppose. Matches like this are very common in their universe, with both Z and Lennox having fought over 200 battles each as it's their primary source of income. Lennox's wounds in this aren't super deep, her pride took a bigger hit than her body, so she'll be a-ok in about a week. I'd feel more bad for the drone operator who's going to have hell to pay for that camera work here xD
