Well, you know what they say; the light at the end of the tunnel is the light of an oncoming train! ;-p
Another snap from my trip up the mountain. This image came as the cloud ceiling began to lower, and parts of the winding valley slowly became invisible through the encroaching fog. At the lowest point, I wasn't even able to see the trees off to the left, never mind the walls of the valley below. Despite the grey appearance the atmosphere was oddly somewhat pleasant, and at a decent summer afternoon temperature. Not a breath of wind blew across me, nor a drop of rain fall onto me. One point even saw me take off my jumper, as the eerie nature of my surroundings began to become oddly tranquil and serene, which made me rather contemplative. Some fail to see the trees for the forest, others struggle to see the forest for trees, whereas I couldn't see either because of the fog.
Hope you enjoy!

It's certainly and interesting though, and I think that this sense of wonder may well have contributed to our current abilities to think critically. This early man might wonder where the light in the sky went, why it was there only some of the time, why the starts weren't there in the day, and whether he stood at the centre of it all. I doubt that I conclusive answer will ever be found, but it's fun to speculate. :)
