I got given this poor beaten up little guy a while back.
A good friend of mine works in a charity shop and this little husky happened to be at the bottom of one of the bags of donations. Being so worn and bruised up (with tape round his leg and all), he obviously couldn't be re-sold... and was going to be thrown in the bin!
My friend kindly thought of me and brought him to the next local motorcycle meet and handed him to me, knowing that I'd find him a home.
This little guy means a weirdly large amount to me. He's a bit beaten and bruised and is far from perfect.; He looks like he's had a bit of a rough time. Kind of a bit like me in a way! The bike that he is strapped to in the photo is a little classic 1979 Yamaha RD200DX of mine that I built in my living room. That bike got me through some extremely difficult times, providing me a distraction when I really needed it. That bike too, is a bit like me. A bit rough round the edges, but has a bit of character.... so now the three of us go on little rides together. We're like a perfectly matched little trio. I know it sounds sad and it's probably just me talking a load of shit. But that's his little story all the same, and I love him!
