Jump, Bambi, Jump!
It may be diminutive, but it sure isn't short on character! This is a painting of Bambiraptor feinbergi, a small, roughly 4 lb dromaeosaurid from the Upper Cretaceous, with an incredible range of motion within its forelimbs and 'hands', long legs, and brain proportions similar to a bird. It may be a juvenile Sauronitholestes, but until it is figured out more certainly, Bambi it shall be!
This little guy was found near Glacier National Park in Montana, up northwest of the Hell Creek formation!
I haven't painted with acrylics in years, and my old paints and my technical skill shows for it! I really wish to get into painting again, though - I forgot how much fun it is!
