Good concept imo...but I lack of skill lol. Down side of self taught..your your teacher and your clueless.
Little Bercie here has lightning powers and lightning bug buddies I'm sure. ^^
I wanted to try some lighting, but it looked to harsh with the markers I had so I attacked it with pencils..some of it ended up better but alot of it just made it worse in my eyes ;; I don't like prisma on bristol..they just cake on :/
So yeah I could be happier with this I'm gonna try again, if anyone has tips or suggestions ( and isn't going to be a negative nit ) please help :3

I think she's adorable. You're self taught?!?! Now I'm REALLY jealous!
I agree - Prismas are great on their own or on highly textured stock but tend to gunk up on finer surfaces (they've gone to a heavy wax base and that's what causes the gunkiness in tiny spots). Polychromos are oil based (I think) and work great on everything, but they're expensive. I only got some because my Aunt had an old set she wasn't using and gave them to me. However I do find that plain ol' Crayola coloured pencils work really nicely on bristol and on art cards in general, and they're cheap! I got 24 of 'em for seven bucks Canadian. Try Crayolas and see what you think.
Gawd, now I sound like a shill for Crayola :D
