For a "short side project" that you "really didn't want to put in that much time" the artwork is gorgeous (gorgeous regardless). You shouldn't sell yourself short. It's more than recognizable, it's beautiful! As for the shield, there are practical reasons she'd pick that style shield over the big ass tower shield I mentioned, Lower weight, smaller size, and rounder shape adds to her mobility. The only reason I mentioned it is because a character of mine uses it in rp's, but she's a big, heavy, slow, tank who couldn't catch her foes if she tried.
