While the Mojavo Arks have their Dragoons, the many abbeys across the Mojavo Empire train certain friars with extreme potency and with the determination to serve the church as their own personal warriors. The result are the Zealots, warrior monks who specialize solely in foot to foot combat, as well as hand to foot and hand to hand.
The power of a Mojavo's strength is all in their mighty legs. Designed for jumping, the kick of a Mojavo can break through 18 inches of solid, perfect concrete. They can jump 20 feet in the air and cover 12 feet of actual distance in a single leap. As such, they often learn to fight with their legs in a variety of fighting styles. Many will even augment their legs with special weapons designed specifically to take advantage of their tremendous kicking power, including these ankle katars which unsheath and sheath based entirely on the tension in the Mojavo's legs.
While not quite as strong in the upper body, the normal Mojavo has quite dextrous hands used in a variety of tasks. As such, they do not weild heavy weapons like swords or axes. Instead, they train with more dextrous weapons like flails and daggers, spears, staves, maces and nunchucks, and in some very rare cases, will use fencing weapons like rapiers or sabers.
The Zealot shuns all forms of ranged combat and learns to rely entirely on his body and close ranged weapons to defeat his foes. To pick up a blaster and defeat one with it is considered a shame to their honor, according to Mojavo authorities.
