I don't use puns at the end of my stories! ... Solely. I use them lots of places. Then I apologize for sounding like early Piers Anthony, except with overt perviness instead of covert.
Anyway, I think people should mix it up somehow. Like... using the internet at an ancient library that wasn't there yesterday to find a mysterious website. Unfortunately, most of the story would then be about struggling to get homing pigeons to understand URLs.
Man, I would ironically appreciate that so hard. The amused detachment of a thousand blazing suns, I tells ya.
(Actually, looking over that chart has given me an idea for a clean TF story. Yes, I'm pretty sure those words really can go together.)
