I have long had a grudge against artists who used graphics tablets, because I wanted one. I tried to justify my lack of having one by reasoning that drawing traditional art on paper, waiting until everyone else is asleep, switchboarding the scanner to the computer, and reediting every single patch of detail of a piece of art I'm sick of looking at was a purer, more refined way of doing things, simply because it was harder.
Well, I gave in. My own little graphics tablet (though it's not an almighty Wacom tablet, it works fine for me) for drawing directly into the computer.
So here's the first piece of artwork I'm sending that is entirely digital. A simple animation. These things would be inconceivably hard to do by hand. And this only took me about 2 and a half hours total. Little graphics tablet, this could be the start of a beautiful friendship.
