(Drakes are pretty much dragons without wings, most do lack the ability to spit fire, but find protection in areas that are near to lava or areas of extremely high temperatures.) This is pretty much the race substitute to Dragons for the server. Lets face it, adult dragons are a bit to big.

History:

Unlike many of the ponies here, Ashford’s family was here long before the mining industry took off. He got to see the delegates from Solaris, help the Diamond dogs come to terms with the drakes that were from the area over the ore and food.


Soon after the delegates arrived more ponies started to set up shop in the Ravine, building an official railway to the Ravine and building bridges over the river to connect the two races. Helping to find enough gems to satisfy the appetites of the diamond dogs and the drakes.


Soon the expansion took off as the ponies start to bring new goods for the drakes, in exchange for help and services. Ponies pushing the drakes to help with certain tasks due to their resistant skin, allowed for some to prosper despite some initial resistance. Forging tool, and materials for building the railway, which became a source of trade and opportunity as he was told growing up. Not all the drakes were happy, but many who did wouldn’t open their maws near the ponies.


He himself got taken under the guidance of a blacksmithing pegasus that were happy to teach quite a few welphs how to forge different tools and equipment. Asheford himself getting into trouble for always making odd over the top contraptions, eventually getting better with them as he helped create the first elevator to the track, and putting his inquisitive over the top building habits to better the town. He is always working on some project.

He can mostly be found in town, he has a ton of horseshoes he's made for many of the ponies that live in the location
