Working on content for the Clawbound website and just finished up graphics for each of the racial tribes that will be involved at the beginning.
The Duskhowl Wolves
The Duskhowl wolves are a pack that reside in a small valley in the western Fangwood. Their Chief or Alpha is the final word on matters of government, but all decisions usually are the result of a conference among the pack leadership including the Shamaness, Talekeeper, and Lead Hunter. The tribe has secluded themselves away from the other creatures of the woods in the fallout of the last war, a decision that has come into question as of late. One of the more primitive tribes, the sustain themselves with hunting and gathering and have a fierce loyalty to their traditions.
Badgers of Spiritstay
Of all the races to inhabit the reaches of Northern Anterras, legend holds that the badgers were the first. Called by the mysterious voice of an ancient relic that whispered the will of the Forest Spirits, the first badgers settled at the foot of the small mount covered in mist. In time they carved a great city into the mount itself and Spiritstay was born. After the last war, none of the other tribes have seen any sign of the elusive race.
The Mossbend Otters
Unlike the other tribes, the fun-loving Mossbend otters actually have two homes and migrate between the two with the changing seasons. While in the warmer months, they establish camp in sturdy tents on the Northeast beach of the Big Bowl Lake where they busy themselves gathering and trapping provisions for the winter. At first frost however they make their way to the foothills of the Talonhigh Mountains, and a series of caves that have served them for generations.
The Pinnacle Rabbits
The town of Pinnacle is named for the rabbit’s belief that they represent the pinnacle of evolution among the beast tribes. Sustaining themselves solely on food they produce themselves via agriculture, they are the most numerous of the tribes and look down on all others. Their society attempts to emulate the organization and laws they learned of through ancient tomes left behind from the furless ones.
Layland Horses
In a constant state of turmoil, horses, snakes, and coyotes fight a ceaseless war for territory in the great stretch of the Layland plains to the south. Stalwart and strong, the horses became surprisingly adept at building and construction to protect their settlements from the constant onslaught. Seeing each individual as an equal, they have no leadership structure and instead rule by consensus with physical trials to handle any prolonged disagreements.
