Just a Sketch of our DnD group that we started like 2 months or so ago.
it's mostly a first time experience for 3 of us so its been mostly silly experience all along. from left to right, the characters are played by:
Twitch, the kobold is played by me, xaenyth, Ook the Barbarian is played by tacodragon, Elizardbeth the Lizard is played by spiko, Ou the Gnoll is played by lancu aaand our DM is Hyper_FoxE3
The kobold also happens to be mute, the barbarian is kinda brain damaged, the lizard is a xenophobe and the gnoll is not very intelligent, so you can imagine our DM is having the greatest of time :]
it's also my first time in DnD, along with spiko and our DM (their first time as DM), so sometimes it gets a bit confusing, tho im getting the hang of it, just a shame we only do this once a week ;c
it's been pretty fun tho! regardless of me playing a mute character on my first time, figuring out how to communicate with each other has kept things interesting...super complicated too!
i would probably continue to doodle these guys in our amazing adventures later on. if we don't get ourselves killed that is, which is pretty much a challenge since we always doing dumb shit.
man we have quite the stories to remember already.

yeeeh, specially when the kobold is trying to explain the puzzle of the dungeon to the rest of the party because they can't read draconic.
that was 40 minutes down the drain trying to figure something super simple since my kobold is mute and had no papers and pen at the time xD

Well, it's just harmless set dressing... unless it's a Gazebo mimic. You don't want to mess with them.

Kobolds are the best! Currently playing one in both games I'm in! I enjoy them both for being weaker than most races, yet also really adorable and their link with dragons. I always find they have amazing RP potential for any situation. x3
Also dysfunctional DnD groups are about the only ones I play in, haha! I'm always causing mischief or derailing things all because I have a tendency to play really wacky characters. I love this! hope to hear tales of their exploits! a party this fun looking HAS to have an equally fun story!

Mainly imagination, a map, and books if we are doing an existing campaign or anything already established. We have to roll dice and have character sheets, it’s sort of expensive for the real life version but it’s fun. Especially if you get your creative juices flowing and come up with your own campaign and everything. Usually it ends up being silly for me and my group as well because none of us can really draw well so for encounters or stuff that isn’t in the campaign we draw it. And if you ever are interested in the irl version you don’t really need to buy everything as I think most of the stuff is available online if you look in the right places. And sorry for rambling I get passionate about dnd. But from that description it sounds like you guys have fun and that’s all that really matters imo.
This this is cute and awesome. I love this! I'd love to hear of the DnD story you all share if you're willing. I'm actually learning how to DnD myself. One of my friends helped me buy my first dice set and she's helped me make my first character: Arnad Featherbett - a halfling ranger. Only problem for me is that I still need to find a group to play with, that and figure out how the heck a spell sheet works.
I look forward to seeing more awesome doodles of this mighty band of adventurers, and I look forward to hearing how the story goes. Oh and btw, I know of an awesome series on YouTube called Critical Role. You can watch that for more DnD. I'm watching it just to get an idea of how it works haha.

Oh yeah haha. I'm geeking out about the show since it feels like a movie to me or a story just playing out. I think there's some other DnD show's as well that I can look into. But yes check it out when you can, no worries or hurries. Time will tell with more doodles, and again no rush. I look forward to seeing them if you do them.
gnoll was born a giant among their kind apparently.
the gnoll has been super broken early on, maybe later on they will calm down ;v
the DM accommodates stuff for the gnoll too much too, like things being conveniently big enough for them
but it's a first time for some of us s0o i don't mind too much, just there for the fun :o

Huh, unless magic or interbreeding happened, that kind of mutation would not really be possible. Being size categories larger then medium or small is real hard thing to balance around as a designer. Kind of why they kept that stuff out of races that you can play in 5E. Cos that stuff was a nightmare in 3.5 E.
Are they upping how much damage they do for enlarge size? Allowing for a higher strength score or cap? I personally would just have told the player they can play a exceptionally large gnoll but not allowed a size category increase. Just 8 ft that gal and your set. Also, it being massive is not going to calm down. Size increase allows you to shove creates within one category above you and knock them over. Along with grappling them. Hit that girl with a enlarge spell and she is going to be pushing very big monsters over. Not to mention enlarge / reduce,
"Enlarge: The target's size doubles in all dimensions and its weight is multiplied by eight. If there isn't enough room, it attains the maximum possible size in the space available. Until the spell ends, the target also has advantage on Strength checks and saves. While the target's weapons are enlarged, they deal an extra 1d4 damage."
That spell will narratively make that thing so heavy she can just jump on things and you can say good by to that with how much she will weight.

xD yeh we play on 3.5 and yeah, all of what you said applies, our wizard is saving that enlarge for a very dire situation :p
but like i saaaid, most of us are first timers so we playing this mostly for the silly moments, combats are rather one sided, but silly as hell XD
it's just a thing with friends!
