All Princess Peach wanted was a nice, normal, and fun Mushroom Kingdom Invitational. Too bad she decided to experiment with a spice that ensures she'll be abnormal for it.
This is for the monthly ShapeshiftersMonthly prompt of "gradual transformation". I'm a huge fan of those kinds of stories, but I never get around to doing them often, so this was a helpful poke to make one!
Fun fact: this is actually my second attempt at writing a story with this kind of transformation. I wrote the first one back in June, but at the advice of a friend, I cut out the Mario bits and made it an original story. Still haven't gotten it just right, but expect that to come out... eventually

I don't know why I haven't seen this one before. It's so good. I wonder how will Peach adapt to her new life as a royal type Koopa.
Fun Fact: A year ago I found out that the original draft for the live-action movie would involve Bowser tricking the princess (this time an original one named Hildegard/Hildy) into eating some magical chocolates that only brainwash her into being in love with him, but also slowly transform her into a Koopa like him (or an ogress, it's not that clear). And that was in 1991!
I hope we get to see an official game/movie/series episode with Peach as a royal type Koopa. It's a really obvious plan and I'm sure they could make her look cute. Plus, we already have her transformed into an elephant, Goomba, a spikeball and even inflated and stretched. So why not?
By the way... what if I told you that I was partly inspired by your stories to start writing my own based on a crackship that came to my mind a few months ago? Though I'm still not sure if the character's transformation will be gradual like in this fic or in a quick, Sailor Moon type sequence.

Glad you liked the story, and I didn't know that about the original draft for the live-action. I totally believe it, though, that movie already has a ton of weird stuff in it.
It would be nice for them to finally pull the trigger on turning one of the princesses into a royal Koopa. They already did Mario back in 2017 in Odyssey (technically), so yeah, why not?
