Heh, actually, I (also) wanted to ask you to draw canids in the request thread but to me it seemed inappropriate as much as asking for colours. I thought you were quietly and passively rebelling against wolfies and foxies, them being cliché or something.

Well, yeah... they seem to be more or less abundant... Still, a wolf is a very typical predator archetype, especially to deer - both seem to live in similar environments. So I guess I'll end up drawing wolves (atleast) due to context.

I like it! No, really, it's good. Wolf on the right is a little weird in the neck (what is with me and neck crit??? I apologize), but other than that it's pretty cool to see you donning something other than a deer. Excellente, good sir.

Hm, when I post pron it doesn't attract those for some reason, I guess one has to do that on a regular basis to attract a crowd interested in that kind of thing first... I guess it's tricky if you're posting artsy-fartsy stuff one moment and then go post porn a few minutes later - a pron-maniac comes looking for something to fap to, sees existential BS instead and goes all :C, a philosophically inclined poet comes looking for meanings to ponder and sees gay buttrape smut with semen all over things and goes all :C. It's a loose-loose situation.

It's a win-win situation for you if you're posting things you enjoy creating.

<shrug> Well... knowing people enjoy the works is a good thing... If I didn't care about sharing and getting some sort of feedback, I wouldn't be posting them (and would prolly save myself alot of trouble and awkward moments that way).

I read Shakespreare in my mother tongue. I didn't like him enought to re-read in english. - "Ok, this goes there, that happens there, all dramatic and profound, ok, I get the picture, let's move on." It's most likely just my aversion to drama as a genre.

I dare confess a cheap fascination with Swahili, you got me there, sir.

The problem -- or the greatness? -- of Shakespeare and of the other Elizabethan / Jacobean playwrights is that 90% if not more of the power in their work is based on language, and much of this language cannot be translated without losing the organ-chords and trumpets of their English.

And that's equally true for many great writers in other languages that I cannot read: a condition that frustrates the hell out of me.

Have you the considered the possibility of splitting yourself, through art, into different characters, each with its own attributes and passions, just as you have done here, in this drawing?

When you consider how complex we are as individuals, how conflicted within ourselves, you might also find a great potential for equally complex and conflicted groups within a picture.

In other words, turn what you see as a limitation into a strength. :)
