I use Special Effects hairdye, in the color of Electric Blue
Amazon link : https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001.....rb_top?ie=UTF8
Starts off as a very deep blue, then gets more and more purple and then pink!
It's my favorite hairdye ever.. I've used them all and nothing compares!

you get turquoise/green because there are yellow pigments in your hair!
the solution is to use a toner. you will need a purple toner to turn those yellow tones into grey, thus nullifying them and it will no longer turn green
you do not need to use a chemical toner to do this. The hairdye i use, by Special Effects (color: Electric Blue) has a ton of purple already inside of it. So it actually tones my hair just from dying it blue.
Most blue hair dyes on the market do not have much violet/purple, so when they fade, they do not turn pink like my hair :P i like that it turns pink, but some other people might not! and its permanently tinted pink as well
so, if you do not use a rich blue dye with purple undertones, the next thing to do is use either purple shampoo + conditioner OR a diluted purple hairdye. i recommend the diluted purple hairdye, as it smells way better and wont dry out your hair ^^
TL;DR
you need to add purple to tone the yellows out of your hair!
