I wanted to experiment a bit so I did just that. Wanted to also draw my boys in summer clothes and I figured Claude would wear something fancy and sailor clothes really fit the rich kid aesthetic of Claude's time. Jonathan in turn has pretty casual clothes since he's from a tad more humble family & he prefers practical clothes he can work and do household chores in and roam the woods and fields. I like to think he gets even more freckles during summer, haha
