I'm actually very content with where I'm at right now, so I really can't complain. :) I admit that there are times where I long for someone to hold me and vice versa, but I don't really know if I could deal with that whole "commitment" thing right now.. it's hard enough finding time for myself, let alone finding the time to dedicate to someone else as well. So.. just wouldn't be fair for either. *shrug*

I know of many furries who choose to remain single for the same reasons, myself included. I'm convinced that there are forces in this world working against single people (such as this meme), and trying to convince everyone that they are better off in a relationship. But sensible people who have enough self-esteem should be able to see through that. Too many people try to force themselves into a relationship prematurely and end up feeling unfulfilled.
Humanoids used to be dependent on each other in the old days, but now we find ourselves living in some frilly society that prides itself on success. So ideally, you just keep doin' your thing and eventually you'll run across someone who has the same aspirations and outlook as you.
