Good point, but I think your joke points at two lines:
1. Furry conventions are really "Conventions for Fans And Enthusiasts of Furries" where furries are the actual characters themselves, and
2. "Furry Conventions" versus "Bob Convention" would be a convention where a bunch of furries go up to meet-- the actual animated characters meeting others, that is.

Seriously. I think all of the details are very important in a story. How is she feeling right now, based on the constitution of her breakfast? Is she hungry? Is low blood sugar affecting her actions?

She was never the same after that, every time she tried to date some guy, she'd keep glancing at his crotch and shivering, the relationships never went past the first date most of the time...
