my first inclination was a piece with mom since he's a mama's boy. but then again...the whispers of "make your characters complex who change with time" swayed me.

Ehhh maybe if I where to get picky, but I still feel it's at a point where all the nessesary visual info is there, and could still easily tell it's yours with the proportions you use and other details. I mean I don't know/ remember many artist just by their painting style or medium they use anyway (everyone's gotta use the same tools available in simmilar ways to an extent after all) but focus on structure.
