(I liked the idea of a mute society, because I immediately thought "What if their race has always been incapable of speech?" Mainly, I liked that this meant they have always lived with different ways to communicate and express themselves, and I was looking forward to seeing and learning about a culture that must have been so different from our own, not only because of their location, appearance, or anything else that would be transitional, but because of something that makes them fundamentally different from just about every other "sentient" (having human intelligence and emotions) race that we've seen so far in the series.... I guess I was wrong (and mildly disappointed) about that one. I did enjoy the way that the episode actually played out, especially the song, but... can't help theorizing about exploring a mute culture ^^; Honestly, I kind of want to say that this character is naturally mute... I've already got several with mutism, so she would fit right in XD )
