after figuring out audacity was having trouble recording a track while playing another, i switched over to another program to record this one, although i wont say what it is since i didnt exactly buy it >_>
the last version was full of clicks and pops, it was also shorter, i was able to salvage the drum beat off it and loop it for this
other then that this was recorded in 3 takes
one had me play the bass against the drum loop
then i played the rhythm chords ( A F#m A D E A)
then i freestyled the lead baised on lisening to the vocals in my head
i wasn't too scientific about the process and thus i wound up too short
so consider this a condensed version, i just sorta jammed it out.
i would have continued playing however the plug on my guitar is acting up
so i gotta fix that.... O_o
anyway here it is, the way i wanted it to sound the first time ;P
yes im playing everythign but the drums, which were sequenced, recorded off my yamaha sxg soft synth, the looped and played along with
im callnig it done, even if its not,
and the distortion on the chords im gonna blame on lack of digital recording headroom... time to break out the nakamichi instead...

heh left hands are a pain in the ass when it comes to writing somethign with a pencil, you wind up dragging the heel of yoru hand across it and smearing it,
as far as plectrums go, the thing is i just cannot hold one and play with it to save my life,
the reason i never tried a left handed guitar is cause i never seen one up close
and the reason i never strung a normal one up backwards (like jimi hendix did) is cause it's a delicate process that cant be done right without reversing the nut
of course thats why jimi would always go out of tune during live shows,
i use my fingernails to pick if i have to do a fast part, and it DOES wear my fingers raw but it dont bother me,
now if i could just sing...

Sure, same with all of my tunes.
the only restriction i have is that nobody try and sell my work in any form.
after all, who am i to say that this is my song to begin with? :P
There's a John Lennon cover of this song out there that sounds pretty good as well :)
one day i may try to do this a little more accurately though, this version im just kinda playing the different riffs in an order that i could. i was more intent on getting the timing right then getting the verses and chorus and riffs in the right spots.
one day i want to play it exactly as it should be. with all the parts in the right place.
i attempted that just a few days ago, but the results sucked, since i had tried to mic my amp instead of using my line in jack like i did here, with the guitar plugged directly into my line in jack (microphone jacks are too noisy thanks to a preamp circuit)
the audio you hear here was actually passed through a twisted pair of wires with alligator clips on each end connected to a guitar patch cord at one end, and a headphone plug style connector at the other that went to my computer, Thats my low-tech way of dealing with the fact i don't have the proper cables and adapters... i do have about a dozen of those adapters, but not the one i need xD
