It just adds to their appeal in my opinion. I've always loved the juxtaposition of a small, cutsy character with insanely powerful weaponry. xD It's almost become cliched in cartoons, but I still enjoy it! The hair was originally the basis of this drawing, I'd seen a character with some crazy pigtails and I knew I needed to draw some.
