Aaah, it couldn't be easier buddy! It's free to play, and on Steam! Fairly easy to get into! As for the social angle, well...think of it this way! It's a 3D chatroom! It's just like leaving a comment here on FA, but in real time!
I was explaining it to someone the other day: "It's not just a game, it's an amazing social interaction tool: from a technology perspective, it's astounding. From a social perspective, it's incredibly interesting. From a potential to meet other like minded people or just live a real-time Youtube Poop/Meme life, to clear your head and let the random stuff explode around you. But in all circumstances, it's just people being themselves, in ways they find humorous or valuable in their own way."
If you got any questions or concerns, I can certainly share my opinion here or elsewhere, but I'm sharing this VRChat stuff because I honestly want to meet up with folks from here. I hit 1,000 Watchers a short while ago, and that blows my mind. 1,000 people want to see the stuff I upload here as soon as I upload it; it's an incredible honor, and VRChat is a fantastic opportunity and way for me to give back, to offer my time and attention to get to know you and others who stop by and view my art. In a way, it's the least I can do. And I want to meet and interact with you and other people. No judgement, no conflict, just a virtual room where you can get together and have quiet conversations, or throw your fears to the wind and tear it up on a silly meme-infested dance floor! There's a place for everyone!

DAZ Studio can export models as FBX, which is a file format importable by the Unity engine, which is what VRChat runs on. I had to cut down a lot of Bruce's content however, because there's an "Interaction License" required to use DAZ models in real-time programs with user interaction (e.g., video games), which means paying for the license in order to have the rights to use assets. So, I'm limited to what I can export based on what I've paid for. Aside from that, it all came down to experimenting with the Unity software, learning how to use the Unity VRC Developer SDK, learning how to use Unity itself, watching Youtube tutorial videos, and eventually figuring out the best and most efficient methods for exporting and importing into the game!
