Black's Beach? You know, that particular beach is only famous for being that and hasn't technically been one since...oh, I'm not sure. Maybe the 1950's. Or was it the 40's? The reason it's sort of still one is because of the massive cliff that protects it. There's a publicly maintained walk path that goes from a casual grade on some old pavement to a steeper path with a couple rest stops to a literal rural path that has steep steps quite regularly dug into the dirt and ropes on spikes for some hand-over-hand climbing. It's a vigorous climb, to say the least. However, that is one of four ways to access this beach. The second is by hang gliding down to it. As the top of this cliff is a hang gliding port. Third is by sea. And the fourth is a somewhat hidden road. Paved almost all the way down and a far more casual walk. But, quite the journey to the south and can be cut off when the tide comes in.
