This was originally a design for skateboard engraving, hence it being in B&W. The black parts would be engraved with a laser, removing the paint and revealing the maple underneath.

A 9-year-old was about to have his 10th birthday and commissioned an engraved skateboard deck. He didn't like any of the designs in the book, and after learning that I was an artist, commissioned me to design a Pac-Man themed deck. Of course I couldn't directly lift the images from the game, but I did my best to recreate it in a vector format. That's why the "ghosts" and background looks a bit off.

Either way, I finished it in two days and the kid adored it. Then the shop canned me, even though I did a ton of work and made them a lot of money. Bastards.
