Ingredients:
300g of any pasta of your choice, I like spaghetti in it =3
Rolled oats (The stuff you make porridge with)
60g butter
2 tbs plain flour
500ml full cream milk
120g grated cheese, you can use a mix, or what ever you like. I tend to use Mozzarella and Cheddar.
About 500g of tuna in brine. Doesn't have to be exact, you can have a little more, a little less.. what ever suits =3
1 Medium - Large sized onion diced.
150-200g of Gherkins, diced.
Method
Preheat oven to 180°C (360°F for all you non Celsius fans).
Cook pasta in a large saucepan of salted boiling water until tender. Drain.
THIS IS THE MOST CRUCIAL STEP.
Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium-low heat. Once melted, add the flour and keep it on the heat, stirring for 1 minute or until foaming.
NOTE: You must be CONSTANTLY stirring the flour and butter, otherwise it will burn.
Remove from heat. Gradually add the milk and place over medium heat, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes or until the mixture thickens. Reduce heat to low and cook for 2 minutes. Add 80g of cheese, diced onion and gherkins and stir until the cheese is melted.
Add the cheddar mixture and tuna to the pasta and stir until well combined. pour the pasta mixture into an oven-proof tray.
Sprinkle the oats on top of the mix, forming a thin layer. Then top the oats with the rest of the cheese. (You can add as much as you want, if you are a cheese fan.)
Bake in oven for 15 minutes or until golden, and enjoy!
I'm sorry it's been so long since I last uploaded a recipe...

You obviously mustn't understand that pasta is cooked in water And that it retains this water once it has been cooked. Hence it swelling up. You must also not understand that the moisture that is retained inside that pasta will precipitate, and turn into steam, and condensation whilst cooking, meaning that what is seen on the pasta is not oil, but what it was cooked in. Yes, that's right. Water. Amazing what a little thinking can do, isn't it?
About to give this a try. Just havta run to the store for the pickles. Just thought I'd put this here, for anyone else who needed to convert the measurements, I'll save 'em time.
10 oz Pasta
1/4 Cup Butter
2 tbs Plain Flour
2 Cups Milk
17-ish oz of Tuna (most come in 12 oz cans, so I guess my cat just got really lucky today.)
4 oz Grated Cheese
7 oz Pickles
Alright. Imma go do this. We'll see how well I can buck it up.

*wee onions!* No, you're an awesome shark.
Okay, finished making the dish. Found a wild onion in the fridge and went to town on it. I added a few things. Diced celery and carrot, and a little pepper. I used a mixture of shredded Parmesan and Mozzarella. I wish I could have put pickles, but I decided that Gulf-coast sticky-heat plus no air conditioning in the car equals f*ck that. Also, had a "durr" moment with the oats. Thought I had some original/plain oats left, but I didn't. Had to use maple and brown sugar (you know what's weird? It totally worked, too.)
This was sooooo yummy! =D Easily on my menu of fall-back goodies I could chow on any time. =3

Hee.. Sank you..
And that's awesome! I'm glad it ended up working well for you ^.=.^
I'm not a fan of celery myself.. I'll only put it in something if I know I can't taste it x3; Like a soup base or something...
But it sounds like the maple ones would actually compliment it well, especially since you didn't have the sweetness of the pickles in there
