While waiting for the vet to open because it opens an hour later than the original information I found online, I felt like I needed to do something so I worked a bit more on this doodle here I did a while ago but never found the time to get back to. Despite the characters and things you see here, this is pretty much my life outisde of work - me, my cat Coalie, my dog Dinky and the computer. The only other things missing are the DVDs and the artwork stuff and some miscellaneous things around the house. Given the situation I'm going through today, I'm not sure I'll ever get around to working on this again so I'll upload this for what it's worth.

As much "fun" as my real family is, I enjoy how you're showing your children dude. I use children in that sense because thats what most of the people i talk to refer to their cute pets. Honestly my dog is better company than my family, and my turtle, gets little to no care from my "owner" sister so i call her mine. PS your cat and doggie have cute names.
Children? They're probably more like fuzzy roommates that prefer shedding to shaving but I prefer them to just about any roommates of the human vareity I could have.
My dad actually named both of them. The cat was named off a variation of the saying "blacker than coal" and the dog after a dog that looked similar to one that he'd had when he was younger.

I've told Coalie more than once today that I may not always act like I'm happy to see her but I still love her very much. I know actions speak louder than words though especially to animals. I hope I can remember to appreciate her all of the time that we might have left together.
They certainly seem to appreciate when I give them treats and their food, though they've both taken to begging for my food depending on what it is even when I can't give it to them, so maybe on a certain level they look to those actions more than others that could be taken as hurtful or neglectful.
My last cat. I seen him having problems months before he died. And I spent alot more time with him then I normal did. Though he kinda followed me from room to room anyway.
Kinda hard to spend more time with something that clings to you. hehehe
I have most often always had two cats at a time. This has been the longest I had lost a cat that a stray has not yet come to my door or such. Dont know if the city is doing better or I have just not been in the right place for another to show up.
Rambling because I was trying to say something. :D
It has always helped me when one dies on me. And even though they can never be replaced. At least your not completely alone in the house again like I found after my first cat died out of the blue on me.
So you have your doggy to help out :D But seeing how you posted something 3 hours ago and did not say anything bad happened. I take it she is ok.
Cat I grew up with as a kid lived to be 21 years old. And had to be put to sleep. He refused to die. Vet said it was the oldest cat he knew of on his records.
So here is hopping you get many more years out of yours :D

My cat's had on and off problems for a while now too. I haven't been as worried then because she's at least managed to go to the bathroom after a bit and not been showing signs of trouble doing so. She did get rather skinny this summer but that's been a pattern of hers too and didn't think it was a problem as long as she's been going to the bathroom. I'm hoping that I might have overreacted to the problem a bit because I've been expecting one and that it's not as bad as I've been fearing.
Most of the pets we've had have come to us in various ways that we've never had to buy a pet since I was a single number of digits old. And that's been a while ago.
Thank you. I'm hoping so too.

She's a dachshund/chihuahua mix, meaning she has somthing of the face though not as long in the nose and the longer body of the dachsund but she has the longer legs and curly tail of the chihuahua so she's an overall bigger dog than either of the parent breeds.
I've been afraid to leave this place for an apartment for that very reason. At least here, I can say whether I have pets or not.
