Marriage between Jeremy and Iris Campton was filled with extreme happiness when Irene was born. Yet Iris' part of the family didn't share the enthusiasm others had, to be honest, they were already against her marriage with someone who's not of pure blood (Jeremy's mother was Umbreon, so they thought his blood was filthed with outsider's genes). Four years later, Iris received a phone call that made her quickly get out and rush out to unknown. She never returned, and her part of the family neglected any connection to her disappearance. Also, since Irene was born from a marriage with the "unpure one", they never saw her as a part of their family. Ever since then Jeremy, once a part of a famous team of fighters led by Annie's father, had to raise his daughter on his own, that is until Lucy arrived to Lavaridge Town with her children. When they got married, Irene had a bit of trouble trying to accept them as her new family, but she got over it soon, and started to see Lucy as her own mother.
Irene is a rather carefree and joyful person, but much like Zeke, she has her moments when she becomes dead-serious regarding certain matters. In battle, her dark powers combined with her incredible speed and crushing melee attacks give every single one of her opponents a hard time trying to fend her off, since she is an expert in both close and distant combat and never leaves her opponent out of her sight, until she sees him/her defeated she won't stop attacking.
