Nearly drowned......she is a freaking seal.....and mermaids are half human, of course they have human like teeth. Then again they are not used to seeing humans in this universe, but I am sure there are mermaids who are half whatever anthro-animal that lives in her world. Point is......why would someone waste three days of their time fooling a single person they are mermaid? I mean you spent that entire time with them enough to see something about them was real, and why not check the rest of their body to make sure it is not a costume instead of just relying on the teeth? Did the Mermaid even bother trying to prove she was real?

I can accept the odd coincidences getting in Nixie's way to prove there are supernatural creatures, but some of it is her own fault for her half-assed attention. Though like I and others have stated, these are all beyond coincidence for all this evidence to come to Nixie and she either misses it or some convenience happens that makes her believe what she is seeing is not real. What is the explanation? >W> Hmmmmm.

Regarding drowning: the furries in Debunkers are technically just genetically modified humans. Nixie can't hold her breath nearly as long as a regular seal. I'd guess Nixie can only hold her breath for five or six minutes, and that's if she has the opportunity to take a breath before going under.

As for Nixie's disbelief that she encountered a real mermaid... Her disbelief issues are going to be addressed in the comic story soon enough. XP

I haven't had any reasonable place to say it outright in the comics, but regarding Nixie's sexuality: she is asexual but has a fetish for supernatural things. She's completely uninterested in ordinary people/furple. But if you've got a fish tail, or tentacles, or blood sucking fangs, or leak ectoplasm, Nixie's probably had a naughty dream about your kind at some point... XD

Regarding the story behind the pic, I guess Nixie never heard of the Pacu fish that has human-like teeth.
