Even the ones who we think they are pouring confidence from within their soul, they can also feel excluded. Commission done for silverfoxwolf of his vixen, Valentine.
I was given with a description of displaying a realistic event that could happen to any one of us, even to the ones we created and hold dear to our heart. Not all the time we can remain happy, especially when you see people have fun around with their buddies, friends, mate, and all you have left is the company of your favorite drink. What are the odds drinks won't make you even more sad, perhaps even close to cry, and you just look at the scenery all blank, lost within your thoughts.
I loved the idea, and that's whatย I also wanted to transmit to everyone out there. Appreciate who you have, and cherish they are there for you.

This type of art is probably the kind that I enjoy seeing the most honestly. Itโs when not only do you get treated to a grand scene, but the meaning and symbolism behind it is so gripping that it draws you in and letโs you feel the piece mentally as a whole. From the expressions/pose to the very refined background of the tropical setting, you really nailed it imo. Almost gives the allusion that sometimes it doesnโt fully feel like a paradise to some
Exactly! What I had in mind, I usually best illustrate on canvas, but you managed to form them in words so well what I had in mind, that I have to bow to you for that! Thank you for seeing the true meaning of it! =) One of the true interpretations of course. *gives an Easter-egg key in return* Well done!
If we depend upon our "friends" to keep us happy, we are setting ourselves up for disappointment at the very least.
I never depended upon anyone to include me, to make me happy. I was always the one making people happy and trying to include others. I always preferred to be the one people depended upon.
To be honest, if exclusion is what you sought to capture, I think you missed the mark a bit, or rather, it could have been more recognizeable. Perhaps for this it can be fixed with just a change in title to "Left Out" or something. But hey, that's just me. And I'm certainly not anything like everyone else...

a person can be amazingly attractive, and people will think that they are a full on socialite.
but that is just what you can see on the outside. you never know what is happening inside. physical Illness, emotional illnesses, rocky personal relations.
emotional turmoil is something that only the person dealing with it will know the pain and sometimes loneliness of having. kind words, hugs and talking about issues can ease this maelstrom of thoughts, provide some respite for a while, but its very hard to permanently solve the problems. The memories and emotional scaring is there, in most cases, for life.
in this art, i see someone who on the outside is stunningly beautiful, physically fit and in overall absolute peak condition. She should by all rights have the world at her feet.
but its the eyes and posture that give away that there is something wrong on a deeper emotional level. she sits hunched up as if she has a massive weight on her shoulders. Her head is bowed, eyes half lidded and staring out to the horizon at a fixed point and unaware of the goings on around her. The glass of liquid long forgotten about.
people know this as the Thousand Mile Stare.
sat on her own, she doesn't have to put on the facade of a confident strong person. she can let the mask slip, drop her emotional defenses a bit, and finally relax.
Or it could also be that her mental "demons" or "black dog" has risen, dark thoughts or feelings have taken hold, dominating everything she thinks about.
if someone was to come over to her, i think she could react in a few ways.
first, she could quickly snap out of the stare, sit straight and shoulders back and give the person her full attention. She has put on her mask, projecting an air of strong willed confidence, and is now acting how people expect her to act.
or she could slowly break away from the stare, probably sigh, slowly lean back or forward, thankful that someone has come over and broken her fixation on the dark thoughts, and given her something else to focus on, other than the demons that have been insipidly whispering in her mind.
Or she could be irritated and angry that someone has disturbed her in a moment of reflection.
This is of course my own impression of the art, taken from personal experiences. I am in no way a psychologist.
Well done Jackrow, for capturing a moment and atmosphere that is hardly seen in art.
