I started to rewatch the Grumpcade series of Pokemon Art Academy today... again. And when episode 7 (the one where Ross draws an anthro Fennekin with giant human ears) came on, I got a sudden inexplicable urge to draw Braixen again (I wonder why that might be). It's been a little while since the last time: How have I not drawn Braixen yet

At first, it was just most likely going to be a rough sketch, like the last few things I've uploaded. But then as I was getting started, I thought about polishing the sketch up a bit and doing some cel shading - just like another Pokemon pic from earlier this year: Cutie in a Hoodie

It's good to have some cel shading practice, after all. I'm still trying to get the balance between being accurate and not looking weird from being overly detailed. But as the drawing progressed and I reached the colouring stage, I thought I'd put some ａ ｅ ｓ ｔ ｈ ｅ ｔ ｉ ｃ filters on it... kind of like the previous Braixen pic. So in the end, I guess it ended up basically being 40% the first Braixen pic and 40% that pic of Moss. Hey, he's even blushing! As for the blush here... and the love hearts... I might have gone a bit overboard. But hey, now it's a few hours later and episode 13 of that same Pokemon Art Academy series is playing right now. Yep, I drew something in one night. How about that. I like the colours, and the highlights... the pose is pretty decent too. It still ended up being a bit rough and messy (since I just coloured the sketch instead of doing dedicated lineart), but you can't really see it at this resolution.

Anyway... yes, back to Yira with Socks 4...
