For this week's edition of "Throwback Thursday", I have some more digital animal 'photo-ops' (taken with the camera feature of my smartphone). To be more specific, said pix will be of several avian critters throughout parts of Broward County, Florida...
This first offering was taken at the Swap Shop (flea market) in Fort Lauderdale. Usually, when
Funimal and I frequent the area (which also doubles as a multiplex drive-in movie theater), besides seeing vendors and their wares, we encounter people and their pets. Most of them are dogs - whether they belong to said vendors (with the canines resting under their owners' vehicles or atop the display tables) or customers (with canines either being walked, or resting in special carriages)…
But the last time we'd visited the facility, we came across a colorful parrot-like bird - who was singing its tiny little heart out. The bird's owner (a middle-aged female vendor) loved to entertain potential customers with her feathered friend's antics.
The woman was kind enough to place said avian upon her head, and got the bird to bob up and down (as though it was doing a dance) - long enough for me to take a picture of it!
I'll have more 'bird pix' later on today...
