Yes, I've been suiting for 7 years and owned quite a range of suits from various makers.
I want to note that while the maker was a friend when this was made, we became friends when she made me 2 heads previously to this, many years ago - so we did still become friends via her work!

Yes, chin rest sat in my neck a little, maker immediately offered to sort this for me and even upgraded the hinges and gave her some gloss for her nose and lips. The full spa treatment! Since this she has fit beautifully and there have been no issues at all.

Wear Satisfaction
Please describe how it is to wear this piece of your costume.
Very comfortable. Resin heads are notorious for being a little on the uncomfortable side, but I am very happy when wearing this head. The fit is absolutely spot on, it is not too tight or too loose anywhere, and the moving jaw is lovely. I am able to articulate it when I want to, and am able to talk without moving it if I want to. The vision is absolutely excellent, dare I say it is better than many toony heads I own! People are often surprised (in a good way) when they try her on and see how good the vision is.

Appearance Satisfaction
Please describe how satisfied you are with how your costume piece looks from the outside.
I AM OVER THE MOON WITH HOW SHE LOOKS SO MUCH SO I SHOUT THIS

She is absolutely 100% what I had pictured in my mind when I commissioned her. She is symmetrical, no obviously asymmetrical areas on her that I can see, the shaving is lovely and even, and transitions exactly as I wanted it. The fur is an exact match to my current bodysuit, so it sits beautifully. The airbrushing around the eyes to make her paw pad markings is fantastic, it's not crunchy and the fur is still soft. The paint doesn't come off when rubbed at all. The expression is lovely, she doesn't look crazy surprised just relaxed. The NFT hair is able to be posed, and a lot of fun! It matched the concept art exactly.

How well does everything fit together and match up?
A perfect match. The fur isn't hard to access, but she did a beautiful job making sure it all sat where it should and how it should. There are no visible gaps or anything like that. It is consistent with her resin based heads, actually if anything I like it the most of them all :P


How easy was it to initially contact the maker for a quote?
Very easy. I had her added on twitter, so I just messaged her on there. Having worked with her previously I knew roughly what to expect.


How satisfied are you with the response time from the maker?
How long did it take the maker to get back to you?
Taya responded immediately, and the whole process was very painless. We kept communication via twitter and telegram.


How satisfied are you with the professionalism and customer service and of the maker?
I am very satisfied. I could ask for an update at any time and Taya would reply usually within the hour. When there were major things to show she would upload photos for me to see, and she was as excited about it all as I was! Taya was very professional but incredibly approachable the entire time, and I have since gone back to her for some paws for another suit of mine. I was also blown away by how fast the turn around was for those and with how consistent her work and approach was.


How satisfied are you with how long your project took to complete?
Very satisfied. I think it was over due by a week, or something very minor like that, and a mutual friend of ours who works near her was able to pick it up for me and deliver it to me, saving on postage and time! She started work on it exactly when I was told to expect her to, and received photos of the head base quite quickly. I had not asked for a specific date for completion, but had insinuated I would love to have it for Confuzzled in May. I still got the head in April as expected, and this gave me time to try it out and get used to wearing it before the con.


Are you happy with the product you received?
Over the moon with this head. The experience of commissioning it was painless, and the product was worth more than I paid in my opinion! I've watched this maker grow and improve in such a short space of time, that I can compare this head to one she made for me only a few years ago and note all the incredible improvements. I recommend her to anyone in the UK looking for a quality UK maker, and anyone outside of the UK wanting high quality work and willing to pay for import!


Describe your overall experience with this maker.
I have commissioned this maker a number of times over the years, and I've always been super happy with the results and the service. This particular head is my pride and joy, and I would recommend Sparklepup Studios to everyone and anyone. She is fantastic at toony and realistic heads, and skilled with a number of materials. Her airbrush work is incredible, and very long lasting, and having been witness to a number of her other suits I can vouch for her bodysuits, paws, tails and feet too! She's also skilled with LEDs and special parts on a suit, which is hard to find. She's also willing to give unique creatures a go, from animals that aren't real to animals you don't see much (carious rodents for example!). She is also one of very very few makers that will take on bodysuit only commissions, again something you don't see a lot of. Please consider this talented wonderful person to make your next suit! :)
