Continuing my latest 'photo-op' presentation for this week's edition of "Throwback Thursday", I have another avian-related digital picture (from the camera portion of my smartphone)…
Several months ago, I had visited a bike shop in Margate when one of my bicycle's tires went flat, and I got it replaced with a more durable wheel (inner tube and cover)… Well, less than two weeks ago, that tire finally went flat! So I'd returned to the same bike shop to get it repaired.
During the repairing procedure, I was entertained by one of three pets the owner keeps inside the store. He has a cat, a cockatoo, and a parrot. The latter critter came out of the back room, walking on the floor. (My brother Glenn was with me, and I had to constantly warn him not to accidentally step on said parrot.)
I'd noticed that it had an unusually long beak. I was unsure if this was a natural occurrence, or that his owner neglected to trim said beak to a normal, shorter size. Nevertheless, the parrot was quite entertaining in its own way - making sounds and occasionally saying "Hello!" to any and all customers.
I'll have one more 'photo-op' from the same bike shop, later on.
