"Ow," Sora muttered as she brushed out more surprise static from her hair. Nyxis would have apologized, but she was busy breaking off another patch of ice on her shoulder. Nyxis's plans to make a quick round of border patrol for the day had been upset by a fight with the bounty hunter wolf. It was broken up mid ice-and-lightning strike in snarls and screeches to discover both of them had the (metaphorical) wool pulled over their eyes. It wasn't in Nyxis's nature to make enemies, but it was certain to happen in her job as a main protector of a kingdom. A bounty had been placed on her head that the infamous Sora wanted to be the first to claim.

Sora's tracking led them in short time to the hidden mansion of her mysterious ex-client. Some quick disposal of the security and guards, and the wolf and bat stopped in front of the final set of giant double doors.

Maybe they didn't see eye-to-eye, but Nyxis at least had respect for Sora's impromptu teamwork, even if the motive was to just deal with the villain herself.

"You ready?" Nyxis asked, drawing her sword.

"Absolutely." Sora spoke before she froze the door-lock to make it brittle.

With the last lock disabled, the doors swung open. It was time to negotiate with the Boss. Sora's unusual revolver was now aimed at the one that had manage to dupe the both of them, giving a bit of a smirk and glance to the bat.

"You want first dibs? Be sure to save some for me." the timber wolf spoke, keeping a rather steady aim at him.

Nyxis's voice was dry, haggard, and completely devoid of joy, but she couldn't have said anything else with more honesty as lightning began sparking from her weapon. "It would be my pleasure."
