So after an ordeal booking flights with Expedia -to which I am having to wait 72hrs to see if I will get my money back or not- and instead booking directly though the airline, LOT, I have finally booked my December 2018 holiday to Riga, Latvia.
Just south of where I went to in December of last year, Tallinn, Estonia, I hope to see more snow, Christmas markets and medieval old towns.
If it continues to go well; I think it will only be right for me to visit Vilnius, Lithuania, in December 2019 to complete the set!

If there is no snow before you depart, bring an umbrella and good rain boots.The weather might be that time we saw the waterfalls last year - too wet and windy. Fortunately Riga is a well populated city, so the wind will not be an issue... Boredom, on the other hand,.. well, best plan on cites to visit before hand.
FYI - Riga was medieval crusade expansion fort for the invasion of Estonian tribal lands in 1200s. It held the counter attack by the Estonian army. The rest of the conquests was handled by disease, rather than armies.
