As Sermai traversed the depths of the cave she passed by on the road, her young adventurous mind escalated her curiosity the farther she got. It could just be a hole in the ground with a few wolves, or it could be many of the decaying ruins her mother has told her about. Her father had trained her with the skills he learned in the Vanguard army, but she knew she had much more to learn and took to the road... with her folk's blessing of course. Her mother was an adventurer too and is the source of her similar mindset, she also had the tempered attitude of her father and kept her guard up as she held her torch ahead of her. The tunnel went down for what she assumed was several minutes. She heard water running ahead of her, an odd thing to hear underground as there was no river nearby above ground for dozens of miles in any direction... it only fueled her already ample curiosity. A faint light ahead of her own caught her attention, a blue light that complimented the orange her torch gave off. The closer to the light she got, the more vivid the running water got. She breached the cob web strewn opening... revealing a surprisingly large cavern with a broken wooden bridge ahead of her, and the remains of a fort that was lit by the blue-flamed torches she saw. Sermai walked along the pathway that rode along the edge of the steep cliff. The dripping water overhead helped give her the sense of scale the cavern was, seeing that there was another waterfall next to the one she could see on the farther end of the cavern she could see. She got to another set of ruined stairs and saw a glyph with odd scribbles carved along it. She admired it, not because it was possibly an ancient language but because it was one that she did not recognize from many of the tomes her mother had acquired over the years. Her first discovery. Her first own discovery she can claim for herself.
