because pirate ninja is another word for vigilante assassin. and a NINJA by definition serves a greater purpose than just money. if u are merely an assassin you have surely lost the way of the ninja, and therefore stoop to new levels of mundane killers. nothing against their trade, but a mere assassin, pirate or not, poses no threat to a master ninja. sorries.

no it is not a bad thing. but they are in a far lower threat level class then a ninja. therefore comparing the two is nearly futile and pointless, since theyre entirely different. but a ninja does not need fear an assassin.

Eh, it's pretty much the apples and oranges comparison. Stealth of the ninja nad the cut-throat tactics of a pirate. Well, ninja is also known for cut-throat tactics too. But hey, a combination of the two is still pretty wicked. Why would a ninja fear an assassin when he too is an assassin?

not the same. assassins are payed killers. ninjas work for the better of the whole of the clan or for their own self preservation if put in danger. ninjas arent to be messed with. the rule of thumb is that if u kill a ninja, he wasnt a ninja. he only true ninja is a live one. its like comparing sam fisher to solid snake. solid snake gets he job done however he needs to, leaving a trail of bodies behind him (assassin) sam fisher only kills those who must be eliminated and is in and out without a trace left behind of him. (ninja) see the comparison? different style, same outcome, different results.
