So there's a new Rise of the TMNT cartoon series comin' out, and after seeing the first few episodes I gotta say that I'm really enjoying the direction they've taken. The turtles are ninja goofballs that snark and flop on their faces half the time, and Splinter has gone from being the tall stoic (and handsome) ninja sensei to a tiny rat gremlin couch potato. I think he and Brock would totally get along though, swap stories over milk and cake before falling asleep in their armchairs while the turtles nearly get themselves killed on whatever ridiculous adventure they're on.
