This is one of those drawings of mine to take the time over four months to finish. Unlike usually, this one had the same theme from the quite beginning. I've got this odd feeling this was started about six months before the finishing date. ;;>__>
Nonetheless, I'm darn proud of it.
There have been two dragons in a fight probably because there's a nest nearby and this one survived.
I planned to do a twin picture to go with this, which is conveniently dubbed End of Battle: Defeat. I never even started to sketch it. Maybe some day when I am more confident...
The colouring quite much killed anything in sight, mostly my pencils, my hand my neck, and so on. Ok maybe not but almost. But anyway, at some parts the pen refused to attach its color upon the lead pencil parts so I kind of.. got mad and almost broke the paper...
I tried to make the background look like a sunset in a desert. I hope it looks like it. Enjoy!
