been thinkin' about him the past month and a bit, but he had to wait until Raziel had his obsession turn and for work to stop being a pain before I could finish :3c

• he's best friends with Kara
he's 3 years older than her and they've been close since they were wee ones. they grew up together, learned they were trans together, came out together and transitioned together :𝔻
their fams are very supportive and chill, being mermaids and all - mermaid culture is super liberal naturally, and was never tainted by the wave of christianity that consumed many land-based cultures, so mermaids retained their extreme open mindedness about gender and sexuality in general

• he's a slut
mermaids' culture around sex is kind of like bonobo's. like, they just do the nasty, all the time, for bonding, stress relieving, and just cause it feels good. he's polyamorous and has done dirty things with most of his friend group (besides Kara cause she's gay and taken, they kind of view each other as cousins, and she's not into sexy stuff).
he has an IUD to prevent pregnancy, which is localized and doesn't affect his testosterone at all
he also meets Raziel once, before Raz moved to ontario, when he was out on a run near the ocean and they both just kinda :eyes: and Adrien mentioned a secluded lagoon place nearby and then uh yeah

• he takes testosterone, but probably won't undergo any surgery cause sexual dimorphism is rather limited among mermaids
female breasts are difficult to distinguish from male ones unless they are pregnant or breastfeeding, at which point they grow a bit, and all genitals are internal inside the genital slit, so beyond T he doesn't feel the need to do much else

• he's originally from the hawaii area, but his family group joined up with kara's and they migrate together north towards alaska, around BC and california, and head back to the islands from time to time

• he looovesss nature and animals
his favourite thing to do is explore and find neat caves or lagoons, beautiful wildlife, and other pretty things. unfortunately, he's also impulsive and kind of an idiot so he'll often just reach out to touch, say, an anemone or jellyfish without even making sure it's safe first. this is where most of his scars come from, not from fights :'D that being said,

• he's super passionate, affectionate, and loves his friends a lot
if he ever spots someone being harassed, Adrien's usually the first to try to break up the fight, and is quite willing to throw bites and claws if it means protecting someone
he would probably die for you honestly

forgot to add it on there (oops), but as all mermaids, he has transparent nictitating membranes that blink sideways both above and below water and spread protective mucous over his eyes to protect 'em from the surf~
