Snake printed. Definitely a lot larger than planned, but I think that was for the best. This is the raw print, much sanding and priming to go before I will be happy to paint it. I will be selling a couple at this size once I figure out a price point (just to print takes 2 days!)

AHHHHH! This turned out so good! I have a dual extruder 2016 model Flashforge Creator Pro that does GREAT prints at the fine setting, but takes SO long to print. You may have to do some test prints, but I THINK one technique to speed up especially more circular objects, is if you increase the layers on the wall thickness but decrease the % of fill for the core. I think you should steer clear of Hexagonal infill, it can be messy and slower, sometimes also pick up bits of left over plastic and deposit it to the wall layers. Other than that, it'll be a bit of fiddling to get your perfect settings for this print - but once you have it and they print reliably, you should be able to pump these out!
Definitely work out your materials/time/etc calculations for cost. There is a company that prints stuff for you in different materials and I hear they're good with pricing. It can be an option in the future if you want to do bulk runs of like 5 sneks at a time.

Hope this helps a bit and all the best! :D

Cheers :) The main reason this one took so long, is because I wanted to keep the infill pretty dense at the base to keep the model from being over balanced at the top. Worked out quiet well doing that!
If it ends up being popular, I will probably cast it in resin at a later point. I tend to do a few small runs in 3D print first to get a idea of how many will sell and if its worth it!

<3!
Ooh yes, and actually having dense infill in the positives for your future resin moulds will make it easier to mount it to a piece of wood depending on the process you use to pour your silicone mould. You may even get away with just using a silicon mould release spray or paint-on wax, to smooth out the lines on the 3D print.
Definitely intrigued and I'll keep an eye out for your progress! :D

That is one fine print.. it will look gorgeous when finished / painted... ^.^
Father just got a zmorph, the full set have multiple toolsets and initial view is favourable, yet we are waiting for the materials to print the fun things.. hope my lil projects end up this good.. buy, yeah, printing large / dense / high quality takes ages...
