I've been waiting for quite some time, where I could FINALLY go on my own Pokémon adventure with my own Starter Pokémon! I just had a bit of trouble sleeping from the excitement but I totally felt energised for when I got my Pokémon from the lab!

I got up, got dressed and made sure I ate (As well as totally psyching myself up!) before heading to the Pokémon Lab! Luckily I was expected by Professor Oak himself who actually said that I would be receiving a special Pokémon, which of course got me excited and curious of what it would be.

What I saw when I was lead to the special Pokémon, was totally not what I would expect ever... A HUGE EEVEE, actually SITTING on the table!! (Who I learned later also had a name, Matt. Also thank goodness he was wearing some clothing!)

Professor Oak: "Here you are Ben, this Eevee is yours now."

Ben: "Uh, Professor Oak? Is there a reason why he's so big?" (Obviously Matt's tail and name when I learned of it showed me he was male. As well as the knowledge that Eevees have a 12.5% (1/8 in other words) chance of being female.)

Professor Oak: "Ah yes, I forgot to mention that this Eevee has a plethora of abilities, changing his size at will being one of them. I'll write down a list of the rest of them for you."

Ben: "Should I be worried then? If he can get bigger than this, he could easily crush me."

Professor Oak: "There's no need to worry about that. This Eevee is very friendly. He's quite a caring soul, this one. I've actually found his abilities to be quite useful when he helped me in the lab. I think you two will get along just fine."

Ben: "If you say so, Professor."

Professor Oak: "Very well. Let me fetch that list, along with your Pokédex, Pokéballs, as well as his clothing."

I did honestly expect my first Pokémon to be small and cute, but I suppose beggars can't be choosers. Plus Matt was just waving as a way of saying hello, plus that and his face did make him quite cute. I suppose I'll get over my initial shock and will actually grow to trust Matt as my partner, but also as a friend.

I guess this is where my adventure begins.
