About 3 years ago, I obtained this cel from a 1989 TV commercial for the VHS release of 'Bambi':

Just recently, though, I managed to find this exact pencil drawing from which the lines on the cel were inked. See the number "41" in the lower right corner of each artwork? That is the frame number in this particular image sequence.
To be able to re-unite a cel with its original pencil drawing is a rare thing in animation art collecting. But to find that corresponding drawing 3 years after acquiring the cel – that's almost miraculous.
I haven't decided yet whether or not I'm going to replace the pencil drawing in this setup with my new acquisition.

I'm tempted to. If I were rich, I'd just re-frame all 3 artworks together. I think that would be the best way to go. Given my present finances, though, any re-framing will have to wait awhile. ^^
