The general consensus among those who have seen them (and lived) is that they are, for lack of a better word, addiction demons -- that they can detect, and respond to, the feelings of guilt, self-loathing and/or self-deception that are generated by knowingly feeding into an addiction and will. . .
*sighs* Deva? You already have one, don't you.
Deva: "Hee-hee." *pulls her pouch lip down and a pair of red eyes surrounded in darkness look out at him* "I confess: I have a pet addiction."
I. . . See. . . *pause* Pun intended?
Deva: "Hm? Oh." *smirks* "As in I'm addicted to adopting pets, and I have a pet who is an embodiment of addiction? Heh. I never thought of it that way before." *shoves a handpaw into her pouch and rubs around in the darkness* "Because he's such a sweetheart, once you accept him for what he is, and that you'll have to live with him for the rest of your life. Aren't you boy? Yes you are -- yes you are -- you're such a good little demonic ball of habit-feeding negativity!"
